When you run Shiny Server on DigitalOcean you’ll get a shiny new desktop

You don’t need to be an internet guru to appreciate that shiny new shiny desktop, but what do you do if you don’t have access to DigitalOcean?

That’s where Shiny Server comes in. 

A slick new version of Shiny Server is available for anyone who wants to try out the shiny new Shiny desktop.

If you’re running a Raspberry Pi 2, 3, or 4 or a RaspberryPi Zero, the shiny shiny shiny desktop is available.

If your server is running a different operating system, it will download the Shiny Shiny Desktop for you. 

To get started, install Shiny Server from its GitHub repository: 1.

Download Shiny Server (preferably via the Pi 2 or 3) 2.

Run the Shiny server.exe 3.

Click on the Add button.4.

Enter your IP address, username, and password 5.

Click the Next button.6.

Wait until the Shiny Server desktop is installed and ready to use.

If you want to try Shiny Server for yourself, just download the shiny Shiny Desktop, unzip it, and open it in Windows Explorer.

If the shiny version is too old for you, you can try the shiny latest release on your Raspberry Pi.
