Posted October 01, 2018 06:22:03In the latest episode of RTE’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, ‘Stick It to the Man’ actor Simon Corbell discusses his role in the coronaviruses scare.
“We were all in the same room, everyone else was in the house, everyone was in bed, we were all terrified of the virus and then suddenly it’s gone,” he said.
The actor says he felt like he was “the first to go”, as he was the only person who knew what the situation was going to be like.
“You’re just the last person to know, and then it’s just the worst thing you’ve ever done,” he told presenter James O’Brien.
“It’s very hard to explain, but it’s very, very frightening, and I was just like ‘I’ll just stay put, and let’s just get through this, OK?'”
Corbell says he and his colleagues were given no warnings or warnings that they were being exposed to the virus, and had no idea how to stop it from spreading.
“There was no way to make sure that no one was infected,” he explained.
“And they had no way of making sure that we were going to stay safe, so I felt like, I’m just the person to get through it, to keep people safe.”‘
I don’t want to be the last one to go’The actor said he has now had to give up his house, as the coronas are spreading rapidly.
“I’ve lost my home, and there’s no way that I’m going to go back into that house, it’s so far away, I can’t get in and out,” he added.
“But I do want to say, if I can get into it, I’ve been through this before, I had to leave a couple of times and get in again.”
The actor, who was diagnosed with the virus on December 18, said he’s now on a diet and exercises, as he knows he will need to stay out of the house for the rest of the week.
“That’s going to take me a while to get back to normal, I need to go through a bit of a relapse,” he revealed.
“The only thing that’s stopping me is not being in the kitchen, but I don’t really want to go into the kitchen.
I can do it, but that’s not going to stop me from being in there.”‘
There’s no reason to stay’The star also said he will be taking a break from acting to support his family.
“When you get your first dose of the flu, you feel like you’re going to die,” he commented.
“Because that’s what you feel, you don’t have any sense of time, you just go from being at home and having a good night’s sleep to waking up in the morning with a fever and vomiting, and it’s terrible.”
Corbell said he would miss the rest, but hopes to be able to come back in a few weeks time.
“My mum and dad, they’re going through a lot of stuff, I hope I can come back and be able do some of the things they have to go and do,” he continued.
“They’re so excited to see me come back, I know they’re hoping I can just be there, I don, I think I’ll be able get back out there and have a go at it.”‘
It’s like being a zombie’Corbell also revealed that he’s not the only actor who has been affected by the virus.
“Just about everyone in the UK is affected, it seems like everybody is affected.
I’ve had people come up to me in the street and say, ‘Are you OK?’,” he quipped.”
Some people are just like, ‘Yeah, it feels really weird now, I mean, I haven’t felt anything like this before’,” he continued, before adding, “But I don´t feel like I should worry about anything.”‘
We are not alone’Corrosion experts are trying to prevent people from contracting the virus through people who are infected and spreading it to others.
“For us, we are not the last to be affected, but we are the first to be at risk,” said Dr Robert Brabham from the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
“What we’ve seen so far is a very slow rate of spread of the disease.”
To date, we have had about 3,000 cases of infection across the UK, and we are currently working on a number of cases.
“With every case, we try to get as many as possible tested, and a few cases are going to pass.”
At the moment, we can say that we’ve had about 400 confirmed cases of coronaviral infection across England and Wales, and so far we’ve found one confirmed case in the capital.
